Amaca's design
Tiles, levels, and light that changes as you climb
We love that Amaca's past can still be touched and explored.
The original floor tiles keep their shapes and colors; the stairways and changes in level give the building its rhythm; the terraces create small pauses between the interior and the cityscape. It's a building from the late 1980s by Vallarta architect Salvador "Cachi" Pérez, and that character is still present in every corner.
The traces that remain
Details you can touch
Mosaic floors, wooden windows and doors, the changes in level: every element preserves the personality of the original building and gives the common spaces a warmth that can't be faked.
Exploring Amaca means discovering these details, one level at a time, among the greenery and white architecture.
Terraces and corners
Pauses between the interior and the city
The terraces appear at different heights of the building and soften the transition between interior spaces and the outdoors. A wooden pergola, tables, chairs, and greenery create corners for morning coffee or an afternoon pause.
Instead of large enclosed areas, Amaca makes the most of these open spaces to keep a constant connection with the climate and landscape of Puerto Vallarta.
The views
As you climb, the landscape changes
Every corner reveals something different. In some spots the greenery and palm trees are at eye level; in others, the rooftops and buildings of Zona Romántica come into view. As you climb, the perspective opens toward the hills.
From the rooftop, the views accompany one of our guests' favorite moments: the pool, with Puerto Vallarta stretching out all around. The view is also part of every room, though it changes depending on location: some overlook interior spaces, others show the neighborhood, greenery, or a glimpse of the sea on the horizon.

On the first floor, the reception, the coffee area, and the terrace invite you to start the day at ease. The rooftop pool offers another way to enjoy the building: go up, cool off, and stay to watch the afternoon light change.
