Does Hotel Amaca handle offer an All-Inclusive plan?

Our hotel offers a “European plan”, which includes only the stay itself. Located around the hotel are several restaurants for all palates, as well as bars and beach clubs where you can spend entire days. As always, we remind guests that Hotel Amaca offers a pool on our rooftop terrace with a wonderful view.

I have a disability – will Hotel Amaca be appropriate for me?

Currently, Hotel Amaca is not equipped with an elevator and access to all areas is via stairway. For this reason, we’re not recommended for people with reduced reduced mobility, knee, back or heart problems.

CHILDREN – are children welcome?

Hotel Amaca’s principal offering is an experience only for those people over 18 years of age – our aim is to offer an option for those families, couples or individual adults that want to enjoy their vacation or work trip with no children present.

Is Hotel Amaca a “Pet-Friendly” hotel? Do you accept pets?

We are pleased to confirm that Hotel Amaca is indeed a “Pet-friendly” pet-friendly hotel, but we only accept small and medium-sized pets. One pet per room. All pets, be they emotional support animals or no, require payment of a pet fee. The pet fee is $250.00 MXN per pet, per night.

Is Hotel Amaca a gay hotel?

Hotel Amaca is a hotel that celebrates diversity and is tolerant of all peoples. We do not discriminate based on sexual orientation, identity, expression of gender, race, color or nationality.

Can I receive visitors at the hotel?

Visitors are allowed and are welcome from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. However, visitors won’t be able to enjoy the same benefits and amenities that Hotel Amaca offers its paying guests.

Outside of visitor hours, visitors wishing to enter the hotel will be considered as additional guests in the room, and subject to a charge of $300.00 MXN per person, per night.

For guest security, all visitors must present and leave valid photo identification with reception during their stay, and log their entry/exit in the guestbook. Remember that as a registered hotel guest, you are responsible for your visitor at all times within the hotel, as well as any damage they may cause.

Does my room include an ocean view?

We invite you to read your individual room description, as this will explain the room details and whether an ocean view is included.

Does Hotel Amaca provide transportation?

Hotel Amaca - adults only - Puerto Vallarta does not offer transportation service, but you can take a taxi or download Uber’s mobile application to your cell phone – this is a more economical option that’s easier to use.

Where is Hotel Amaca?

Hotel Amaca is recognized for having a very desirable location, as we are located in the Romantic Zone. Just 300 meters from Los Muertos Beach, the beach most emblematic of the town. 300 meters from Playa Los Muertos, the most emblematic beach in the town. 150 meters from Olas Altas Avenue, the main street where a variety of bars and restaurants can be found. 20 minutes by car from Mismaloya and the cleanest beaches of Banderas Bay such as Conchas Chinas, Las Gemelas, etc. 40 minutes from the town Boca de Tomatlán, and Las Ánimas, Colomitos, Majahuitas, and Yelapa beaches, among others.

I have made a reservation through an agency, can I choose my room?

Room choice is a privilege that Hotel Amaca only grants to guests who have booked directly, either by phone, our official website or via email through our direct reservation staff.

Where can I find my room number?

Since our system can make automated room changes within each category, it’s not always possible to confirm your assigned room until the day of check-in. However, we can confirm that the room you receive will have the characteristics described wherever you made your reservation. Learn more about our rooms, and the features of each category.  

What are your payment methods?

We take multiple forms of payment: 1) Bank transfer, 2) Payment through Oxxo Convenience Store, 3) Payment by credit card or PayPal via PayPal’s platform (adds an additional 5% fee), 4) Bank payment via Banorte or ScotiaBank banks, 5) Payment by credit or debit card via phone call.

How do I get to Hotel Amaca? (from the North)

Our address is Pino Suárez 583. We are located in Puerto Vallarta’s Romantic Zone. Our street is off of Highway 200 (toward Mismaloya). Coming from the north, you’ll pass the gas station and go uphill another 350 meters. Take the next right onto Púlpito street, and go immediately left at the fork to stay on Púlpito. Turn at the next left onto Pino Suarez street, and hotel Amaca is the white building located at the end on the left, with guest parking available.

For reference: We are at the end of Pino Suarez Street, the street that divides the Pinnacle and Signature buildings on Púlpito Street.

How do I get to Hotel Amaca? (from the South)

Our address is Pino Suárez 583. We are located in the Romantic Zone of Puerto Vallarta. Our street is off of Highway 200 (coming from Mismaloya). Coming from the south, you’ll see an Oxxo convenience store on your left with a pharmacy next to it, and you’ll take that next left onto Púlpito street, staying left at the fork to stay on Púlpito. Turn at the next left onto Pino Suarez street, and hotel Amaca is the white building located at the end on the left, with guest parking available.

For reference: We are at the end of Pino Suarez Street, the street that divides the Pinnacle and Signature buildings on Púlpito Street.

Does Hotel Amaca have parking?

We are pleased to confirm that Hotel Amaca has free parking for our guests.

How far is it from the airport?

Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR) is only 11 kilometers (7 miles) from Hotel Amaca, which is a 30-45 minute drive depending on traffic.

How far is it from Sayulita?

Sayulita is located in the northern part of Banderas Bay, 49 kilometers (30 miles) from Hotel Amaca, which is a 1.5–2 hour drive depending on traffic.

How do I confirm a booking I made through an agency (Booking, Expedia, Travelocity, Best Day, Price Travel, etc.)?

1) Reservation holder’s Name 2) Date of Check-in 3) Date of Check-out 4) Agency you used to make the reservation 5) Confirmation number

In order to confirm the reservation, you must indicate all the required information.

How do I make changes to a reservation made through an agency (Booking, Expedia, Travelocity, Best Day, Price Travel, etc.)?

Thank you very much for choosing Hotel Amaca, we’re pleased to hear that you’ll be visiting soon. Unfortunately, we cannot make changes to reservations made via external websites.
Please use the contact information provided by your agency to make any desired changes. We recommend having the following information on hand, as this is what the agency will ask for:

1) Reservation holder’s Name 2) Date of Check-in 3) Date of Check-out 4) Confirmation number

What time is the check-in?

Check-in is AFTER 3:00 p.m., only. If you arrive at the hotel early, we’ll be happy to hold your luggage. Early check-in is subject to availability and has a charge depending on arrival time – it is not a guaranteed service. If you need to confirm that your room will be available prior to 3:00pm, we invite you to make a reservation one night before to ensure your room will be ready for your entry.

It’s important to remember that no matter how late you arrive, the night’s stay will be charged in full, even if you arrive after 12 a.m. or later there will be no discount, we won’t be able to guarantee a late check-out the following day, and the entire stay can’t be pushed back.

I made a reservation for a room with 2 beds for 2 adults total, but there are actually 4 people in our group. It says the maximum room occupancy is 4 – does that means you can accommodate 4 people?

It’s correct that the maximum number of occupants in a room with 2 beds is 4 adults. However, the total room fee is based on the total number of people staying in the room. If more than 2 people arrive, the extra people will be considered additional guests with a per-person, per-night cost. This per-person cost varies depending on the season.

My flight arrives very early morning – can I schedule an early check-in?

We are a standard hotel, have staff at reception 24 hours/day and guests can arrive at any time. However, check-in is AFTER 3:00 p.m., only. If you arrive at the hotel early, we’ll be happy to hold your luggage. Early check-in is subject to availability and has a charge depending on arrival time – it is not a guaranteed service. If you need to confirm that your room will be available prior to 3:00pm, we invite you to make a reservation for the night before, in advance, to ensure your room will be ready for your entry.

Do you have early check-in service?

We understand that your arrival may be very early. However, our rooms may be occupied and given that we’re a smaller hotel, it’s very difficult for us to guarantee service during high-demand seasons. If you arrive at the hotel early, we’ll be happy to hold your luggage. Early check-in is subject to availability and has a charge depending on arrival time – it is not a guaranteed service. If you need to confirm that your room will be available prior to 3:00pm, we invite you to make a reservation for the night before, in advance, to ensure your room will be ready for your entry.

What time is the check-out?

Guests must depart their room and leave keys with reception by 12 p.m.

Can I check-out later than 12 p.m.?

Late check-out service is subject to availability and additional charges but must be requested at reception 24 hours in advance. If you don’t provide the late check-out request with sufficient notice and don’t check-out within the 60 minute grace period, you will be charged one night’s stay with no applicable discounts or promotions.

Can I extend my stay by one more night?

Stay extensions will be provided at current room rates, subject to availability. Current room rates may vary from the rate available when the room was initially reserved.

Guests should request their extension up to 24 hours before their original check-out, and at that time we’ll indicate if an extension is possible based on hotel occupancy and any necessary room changes.

Being a current guest of the hotel does not guarantee that you can extend your stay, or have priority. The only way to confirm a stay extension is to confirm by means of 100% payment in advance. Simply commenting during check-in that you might choose to extend is not a guarantee of availability.

If my flight leaves later, can the hotel store my luggage?

Check-out must be completed by 12:00 p.m., but if you’d like to continue exploring the city, we can store your luggage for a maximum of 6 hours.

Can I continue to use the facilities after I’ve checked out?

We allow usage of our facilities such as the rooftop terrace, pool and bathrooms in the public areas, but amenities such as beach towels, coffee, fruit and others are for current guests only.
